Nadine Levin didn’t follow the traditional recipe for launching a business, and that’s exactly what makes her story so sweet. After spending over 14 years in the advertising world, Nadine never imagined that a friend’s request for wedding cupcakes would change her life. But that single act of baking sparked something unexpected—a new path, a food truck, and eventually, one of the Merrimack Valley’s most beloved cupcake shops.
Pipe Dream Cupcakes started on wheels, popping up at farmers markets and festivals across the region, quickly gaining a loyal following. What started as a kind gesture in the kitchen turned into award-winning cupcakes that the Merrimack Valley can’t get enough of. Nadine has earned nine “Best of North Shore” awards, and in 2024, she made the leap from mobile to permanent—opening a cozy, brick-and-mortar shop at 48 Water Street in North Andover.
We spoke with Nadine about her journey, where she shared how each cupcake is more than just dessert—it’s a reminder that it’s never too late to rewrite your story. What began as a pipe dream is now a thriving small business, made possible by bold choices, community support, and a whole lot of heart.
